Description of Project:
This set of plans describes how to make a small
metal vise. The vise is 4 inches long and 3 inches high with replaceable
jaws. The project was originally designed for a high school metal work
class and is easily completed by 15-18 year old students. Included with
this plan is a mark sheet designed for evaluating the students work. This
vise takes some precision drilling and reaming to make it work smoothly
and attention to the small details is required. When done correctly, this
vise is very sturdy and will last a long, long time.
