Description of the Project:

This set of plans describes how to make folding metal camping cot. This design of cot is based on old military wooden cots. The plan has been converted to use steel tubing, however aluminum or wood can be used as well, as long as strength is considered when choosing materials. This cot has a sleeping surface of 75” x 25” and folds up to be 8” x 4” x 37”. This cot design is tried and tested over many years of military service. The fabric top suspends the sleeper between the metal frame rails for a comfortable sleep without bars in your back. Perfect for camping, guests, or a sleepover for the kids.
