Description of Project:
This set of plans describes how to make an ornamental paperweight that looks like a miniature stump with ax. The purpose of this project is typically to give a welding student a fair amount of welding practice with either a MIG welder or an ARC welder. This project is perfect for a person who has never welded before because the welds on the stump do not need to be strong (if you mess up its OK) and by the time it is complete, you will have had a lot of welding practice. Also some brazing can be incorporated when attaching the ax to the stump.
